POP Radio Acquires InStore Broadcasting Network (IBN) From Talos PartnersSunday, June 3rd 2012

New York City, NY – June 3, 2012 –  Talos Partners announced today that POP Radio, LP has acquired certain assets of Talos-owned InStore Broadcasting Network (“IBN”). The newly combined POP Radio/IBN entity has been rebranded as the InStore Audio Network.  This network is now the largest in-store audio advertising provider in the U.S. as it delivers advertising messages into over 33,000 grocery, drug, convenience and mass merchandiser stores. It also delivers in-store music to 14,000 of those stores.

The InStore Audio Network is based in Salt Lake City, UT and is managed by Gary Seem, President/CEO, and Jeff Shapiro, Chairman.  With this acquisition, the executive management team also now includes Steve Villa as a Senior Advisor to the company. Steve was formerly the CEO/COO/CFO of Muzak. "We are excited by the combination of POP Radio and IBN,” reports Jeff Shapiro, Chairman of the InStore Audio Network. “The creation of this new audio messaging network delivers the largest audience of any audio product available to consumer packaged goods (CPG) and health & beauty products (HBP) advertisers.” Shapiro added.

Talos Partners continues with a leadership role in retail media with its ownership of InTouch LLC, an in-store interactive company delivering brand engagement and digital coupons at the shelf.  InTouch’s Online at the Shelf touch-screen network has already proved highly successful in a pilot in Kroger Stores this spring.
